Virgin Atlantic begin flights to Varadero, Cuba

Varadero beach

We love Cuba and have been flying to Havana since 2005. In fact we’re the only airline to fly year round from the UK to this intriguing and beautiful island. So it was a big deal for us last week when we began flying to our second Cuban destination – Varadero. Famous for its white sand beaches and lively culture, Varadero has long been a popular destination for holidaymakers. Now you can fly direct from Gatwick on our weekly service. The choice of Havana and Varadero also gives you the chance to explore both of these legendary destinations by arriving and departing at different airports.

Old American cars are a familiar sight on Cuba’s streets. To promote our new route to Varadaro we took a couple of these cars out and about in London then down to our offices in West Sussex. Virgin Holidays are offering an opportunity to enjoy a taste of Cuba from home with the Virgin Holidays Cars to Cuba service, available to applicants in central London, Glasgow and Manchester on Saturday 28 April. Simply enter your details for the chance to win a one-hour ride with a friend in a vintage Cuban car, along with a special Cuban hamper and a voucher for salsa dance lessons so you can master the Cha-Cha.
