And the winner is...

It’s that time of the year when everyone is talking movies. With awards being doled out on both sides of the Atlantic, we’re offering you the chance to see the hottest movies, animated films and most nominated talent of the season. If you’ve not had a chance to catch Oscar-nominated films on the big screen, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

From now through to July, there’s a wide selection of Oscar-nominated films across all categories on board, with choices for everyone. We’ve got the best offerings from both sides of the Atlantic with some of the UK’s finest film offerings, including this year’s award-season darling The Favourite (nominated for Best Picture, Lead Actress, Supporting Actress, and Director) available from March, which leads the pack with 10 Oscar nods.

Legendary director Spike Lee has been nominated for the first time in the Adapted Screenplay category for BlacKklansman (also nominated for Best Picture, Supporting Actor, and Director). Music lovers can watch first time Oscar nominees, Lady Gaga and Rami Malek, in A Star is Born (Best Picture, Lead Actor/Actress, Supporting Actor, and Adapted Screenplay), and Bohemian Rhapsody (Best Picture, Lead Actor), respectively.

For passengers trying to entertain little ones, Incredibles 2 (Animated Feature), Ralph Breaks the Internet (Animated Feature), and Christopher Robin (Visual Effects), are great options. For the documentary lover, RBG (Best Documentary Feature) is on board through April.

Our inflight entertainment, known as Vera, offers more than 1000 hours of the best movies, TV and audio. As one of the few airlines who selects their own movie and TV content, Vera offerings are chosen specifically for our customers.

Every month Vera film critic Jason Solomons hosts a TV show called What’s On Vera for a rundown of the highlights. This month Jason caught up with a number of Oscar-nominated stars on the red carpet and it’s hilarious.

More Oscar nominated options available onboard are:

Green Book – Best Picture, Lead Actor, Supporting Actor, Original Screenplay

If Beale Street Could Talk – Supporting Actress, Adapted Screenplay

The Wife -Lead Actress

Can You Ever Forgive Me – Lead Actress, Supporting Actor, Adapted Screenplay

Solo: A Star Wars Story – Visual Effects
