On the 13th May 1806 a New York publication called ‘The Balance and Columbian Repository’ first defined a cocktail as “a stimulating liquor, composed of spirits of any kind, sugar, water and bitters.” And so began the world’s love affair with cocktails and the wonderful variety of drinks created by skilled mixologists around the world.

To celebrate World Cocktail day we have enlisted the help of Mark Murphy, our Clubhouse Food and Beverage Manager. In this series of videos Mark introduces you to bar basics and the art of making great cocktails. His team then share the secrets of preparing some of the world’s most cherished concoctions.

We believe that flying is about much more than getting from A to B. We don’t just serve great cocktails, our Clubhouses serve a selection of extraordinary cocktails in partnership with the very best bars in the world –
