Whether your jewellery style runs toward the minimalist or is more ornate, you’ll be able to find a great piece at a Chicago boutique jewellery store to take home with you as a memento of your travels. Trendy jewellery shops are located all over the city and sell works by local designers. We’ve put together a Chicago shopping guide to introduce you to five of our favourites…

Ellie Thompson & Co.

Thompson uses geometric shapes, metal textures, and gemstones to create designs inspired by Chicago, which makes her pieces ideal to remember your trip by. The Theorem collection, pictured here, focuses on circular designs with linear details, and aims to capture rhythms. Thompson also does custom work and will redesign old pieces. You’ll need to make an appointment to visit the shop.

Make your jewellery dreams a reality with a visit to Erin Gallagher jewellery, where you’ll be able to create a custom piece. You can visit the gem bar and select stones, a chain, and the style and leave with a one-of-a-kind piece. Plus you can create unique engagement rings or find a gift to take to pals back home.
