We Day

At Virgin Atlantic, we love WE Day! As part of our long-term partnership with WE, we’ve been proud supporters of WE Day UK since it began in 2014. It’s a major annual event, celebrating young people who get involved to make a difference in their communities. Tickets to WE Day can’t be bought. Young people earn an invite by taking at least one local and one global action as part of the WE Schools programme.

On 7 March 2018, 12,000 students and teachers from WE Schools across the UK arrived at The SSE Arena in London, for a fantastic celebration of positive change. The incredible line up of speakers and performers included Their Royal Highnesses Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, WE Day Co-Chair and Chair of Virgin Unite Holly Branson, and actress and author Lily Collins.

This year, we also invited Juliet, a previous Virgin Atlantic “Be The Change” Scholarship Trip participant, to join our CEO Craig Kreeger on stage to talk about her experience and how it motivated her to organise her very own ‘Clean the Oceans Day’.

And of course, we had incredible volunteers from across Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays getting involved with the action.

We’re so proud and inspired by the amazing young people creating change across the UK. This was our message to them:

We can’t wait for next year.
