We can’t get enough of Grenada’s natural beauty and friendly, colourful culture, even when we don’t have the pleasure of spending time here. That’s why we’ve chosen these, five of our favourite Grenada videos, to relive the experience.
Grenada’s rich culture has a propensity for carnivals, and this video by Kemper Ruth brilliantly captures the vibrancy, energy and sheer fun involved in the annual, truly kaleidoscopic Grenada Carnival of 2009. We just wish we could dance like that!
If you want to know what it would be like to dive in Grenada, then this video is all you need watch. With super clear close ups of coral, scorpionfish, seahorses, trumpetfish, a nurse shark and so much more, we love Wallace Marks’ video – look out for the Christmas tree worms in action at 3.30mins.
In this video of organic cocoa harvesting at the Belmont Estate in Grenada, Paul Crask captures the seemingly innocuous task of splitting cocoa pods. Pay special attention to the the guy with machete – we’re simply in shock and awe.
This video by Derek Pickell takes you on a wakeboarding adventure in Egmont Harbour, one of our favourite places to enjoy the sport in Grenada. The slightly shaky filming only adds to the ride in our opinion”¦
This rather lengthy video is full of great Grenadian ambiance – first we take a drive up a verdant hill into the interior of the island and then go for a water tubing trip down a river. We think this is a really fun and unique way to see this beautiful destination.
