Cape Town is known the world-over for many things, but its stunning landscape, spectacular coastline, vibrant inner-city life and white sandy beaches keep us coming back. It truly is the city of contrast, with both rugged and breathtaking beauty, thrills and relaxation, history and a cosmopolitan crowd. We’ve picked out a few fantastic videos, in which visitors and local Capetonians alike aim to do the city justice.

“My Cape Town” by iScream and the Chocolate Stix

Local band iScream and the Chocolate Stix have been taking South Africa by storm after their first single “˜My Cape Town’, a nostalgic ode that perfectly showcases the vibe and people of their fair city.

“Bru’s over Gnus”

We think Cape Town through the eyes of its windsurfers is something everyone should experience, but if you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, this is your chance.

“Project Cape Town”

“Project Cape Town” follows the day of Lukas Irmler, a “˜slackliner’ who goes to extreme lengths to see the famous views of the city like no one else. We wonder if loosing our balance might be too much of a distraction”¦

“The Kings of Llandudno”

Cape Town is a haven for paragliders and this video shows you exactly why. This brave Welshman is seen flying right over Little Lion’s Head and Karbonkelberg, ending up on the beach with a cold beer in his hand – our idea of perfection.

“Cape Town | One Day in One Minute”

We love this short but sweet timelapse video, which tracks one beautiful day in Cape Town, from its forests and beaches to the inner-city roads and rugby stadium, in just one minute.
