On National Receptionists Day, a warm welcome awaits

The Virgin Atlantic Reception at The BaseOn National Receptionists Day we salute the wonderful team who go out of their way to make everyone feel special at our offices and training centre in West Sussex. Loved and respected by all at Virgin Atlantic, our glamorous gang offer a warm and friendly welcome to the thousands of visitors who pass through our buildings every week.

A steady stream of people arrive each day and our receptionists can normally spot the reason why before the first ‘hello’ is exchanged. The nervous interviewee. The excited first-day joiner. The business professional coming in for a meeting, or the ebullient salesperson to pitch. And then there are our own people, from pilots and cabin crew on training courses to members of staff arriving for their day at the office.

With a host of tasks and responsibilities to attend to, there’s no such thing as an average day for our busy receptionists. One minute they’ll be receiving flowers and organising taxis, the next there could be a celebrity walking through the door. Fortunately there’s nothing they like more than meeting new people and putting them at ease, along with plenty of chatting, laughing and chatting some more. So if you’re planning on visiting us soon – whether you’re on business, hoping to work for us, or attending a Cabin Crew ‘Wings’ graduation ceremony – look out for one of the friendly faces below!

Caroline Cradock: Loves meeting people, especially some of the travel experts that come to visit Virgin Holidays as well as the occasional celebrity. Enjoys exploring the Orlando area with her pen pal. Top tip... don't just stick to the theme parks.
