The Jacksonville Jaguars heading to London

We’re proud to have flown both the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars to London overnight. Now we’re only two days away from our first of three International NFL Series games and anticipation for the big games is mounting by the hour. From fan rallies to tailgate parties, these three weekends are the most highly anticipated times for our U.S. expats and UK American football fans.

On Sunday, October 23, the UK will be welcoming the Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts for an action packed AFC South division matchup game at Wembley Stadium. The Jaguars will return to London for a fourth consecutive year (and good news is that they’ll be coming back each year until 2020) while the Colts will be making their first appearance in the NFL International series. While the journey is long to get to London from the U.S., the teams are focused and ready to compete. In fact, the Colts have already said that they’re “treating this like a business trip.”

If you’re an American football super fan, or an NFL rookie looking to get into the action this weekend, they you must remember that part of the fun is participating in the tailgating and fandemonium before the game. Here’s just a few ways you can get involved:

  • On Saturday, 1 October, ‘NFL on Regent Street’ takes over central London. This massive fan festival includes interviews with the coaches and players, interactive games, areas for fans to practice their own football throwing skills, obstacle courses and much more.
  • On Sunday, 2 October, not only is there the big game, but a Tailgate Party that’s open to the public (and free of charge) right outside of Wembley Stadium. This pre-game tradition has been transported to London and features appearances by NFL Hall of Famers, music, a Super Bowl Showcase, as well as the best part of the tradition – lots of food and drink!

Sign up for these fun activities here and make sure you share your photos and experiences with us throughout the weekend.
