Marching on with Pride

We’ve been flying to Orlando since 1988, and it is one of our most popular destinations.

We’re also incredibly proud of all of our people, including those from the LGBT community. We know that many of our people and customers have enjoyed some fantastic nights at the Pulse nightclub over the years, and so we were shocked and saddened to read the terrible news earlier this week. We send our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those affected, the people of Orlando and of the LGBT community around the world.

Here at Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays, we’re committed to providing an open, honest and authentic workplace for everyone; no matter who you are, or what your background is. In light of this weekend’s terrible events in Orlando, celebrating openness and diversity is more important than ever. To recognise and celebrate our own LGBT employees, friends and families, we encourage you to join us in attending Pride events in both London and Brighton in the UK this summer.

Pride In London
What better way to celebrate pride than as part of a family? We’re partnering with 200 of our friends and colleagues from across the Virgin Family at Pride In London on 25 June. It promises to be a fantastic day and a great celebration!

Brighton Pride
As one of the closest cities to our HQ and the home of many of our people, Brighton holds a special place in our heart and so we’re thrilled that Virgin Holidays will have a float at this year’s Brighton Pride festival on 6 August.

If you see us in London or Brighton, please give us a wave! We look forward to standing proud and supporting each other there.

That moment when we realised that between our Press Office team and our Cabin Crew that we had the whole rainbow.
