Franschhoek’s French Festival
Anyone in Cape Town this weekend should head out the Winelands and hit the Franschhoek Bastille Festival for two days of French-themed fun including fencing, fine food and wines, boules, and er, barrel rolling.
LA Street Food Fest
Los Angeles is known for being the one of the West’s best places for food on the go and this weekend everything comes together at the second annual LA Street Food Fest. We’d love to be there for what looks like an amazing line-up with quality Korean, Hawaiian, Italian and Japanese fast food. Naturally there’s plenty of amazing Mexican fare, from tacos to tequila too. Plus ice cream!
At the base of the Japan’s famous mountain, the Fuji-Q Highland amusement park has just opened its newest attraction, Takabisha: the world’s steepest rollercoaster, which travels at 100 km/h and has a 121° (!) drop. To be honest, our heads went a bit funny just watching the video:
