Vera Magazine sports new look for September edition

We're passionate about Vera magazine. Our monthly onboard publication complements and guides you through our inflight entertainment, and it has a brand new look for September.

We know Vera is one of the first things you reach for when you’re settling into your seats. We aim to keep you entertained from the moment you sit down to the moment you disembark, so not only is it the gateway to our onboard movies, audio and TV shows, it’s also filled with features and A-list interviewees. For September that’s one of the hottest stars on the planet, Mandy Moore, who talks about her music as well as her current hit TV series This is Us. Check it out if you’re flying with us this month, along with a look at the man and the myth that is JRR Tolkein, and a trip down Nevada’s extraterrestrial highway.

A big part of the redesign is the new travel section and destination guide. Here we combine our two great loves, travel and movies, by revealing the cinematic twists behind the places we fly to. For September we’re talking about our newest destination, Tel Aviv, including how you can put yourself ‘on location’, whether in a romcom, historical drama, arthouse hit, action movie or road trip, while enjoying one of the most interesting and exciting cities on Earth. It’s fascinating, fun and a great way to explore a new place.

At the back of the magazine you’ll be introduced to some of our customers and people and get updates on all things Virgin Atlantic, including the latest news on our other great passion, trying to be the most sustainable airline in the sky. Talking of which, the new magazine is slightly smaller and lighter than the previous versions. You probably won’t notice, but when you add it up over 12 months, that weight saving will reduce our carbon burn by 68,199 kg a year across our fleet.

We want you to love your time onboard, and we know Vera plays a part. If you can’t wait until your next trip, read the latest edition here, or book a new adventure via our website.
